Job Description

At Bouygues we require an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor as we expanding our team for a specific project based in Jersey. Bouygues’ operates an MEP Unbundled strategy, reducing reliance on external suppliers to improve quality, safety, and project control.

Job Responsibility

  • Maximise the commercial results of projects in terms of delivering optimum profit performance against internal budgets
  • Procurement of Sub-contractors and Financial & Contractual management of them
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager and other members of the Project team
  • Preparing and agreeing Interim Valuations with the Client & for progressing the agreement of Variations as the work proceeds utilising company tools
  • Financial Reporting
  • Financial Forecasting & Control
  • Sub Consultant and Consultant procurement
  • Client Account Management
  • People

Requirements

  • Previous experience in M&E Quantity Surveying at a senior level with a main contractor/MEP Sub contractor
  • Managing (M&E) subcontractor packages
  • Experience in producing financial reports, including forecast, net margin, & activity
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produce accurate work
  • Facilitate the promoting the training and development of the Quantity Surveying Team
  • Demonstrate a solid understand/management of company reporting timetables, as well as key tools & procedures
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience covering both pre and post contract

  • Proven experience of working in a heavily biased/specialist mechanical and electrical cost management role in the construction industry
  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a similarly related discipline. Ideally this will be accredited by the RICS
  • Holding a professional accreditation with a relevant body such as the RICS
