I am supporting an expanding Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Cost Management team who are offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with MEP project experience to join there dynamic, close-knit team. Job Responsibility:
Carry out quantity take-offs for M&E systems including lighting, containment, pipework, and ductwork with minimal supervision
Assist in reviewing and costing variations, seeking guidance where necessary
Source pricing for plant items, engaging with suppliers and managing follow-ups
Support in reviewing valuation submissions from contractors, including conducting site visits
Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost logs, reflecting inputs from meetings and correspondence
Assist in cost reporting and financial analysis to support project delivery
Contribute to cost planning across all RIBA stages, adding value to early-stage decision-making
Requirements:
BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
Proven MEP Quantity Surveying experience
Proficiency with key tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, as well as Bluebeam and CostX
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to interact at all levels
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
