We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, close-knit team based in Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on design-led, technically complex projects across a broad range of prestigious sectors, delivering full project life cycle services. You'll be part of a team of 18 professionals, working in a supportive environment with clear opportunities for development, including mentorship from a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor and support toward RICS chartership.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver full cost management services from pre-construction through to project completion
Administer contracts, with a focus on mechanical and electrical plant (e.g., lighting, lifts, boilers, HVAC)
Prepare cost plans, feasibility estimates, procurement advice, and tender documentation
Analyse tender returns and contribute to effective procurement strategy
Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
Liaise regularly with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
Contribute to accurate and timely cost reporting
Attend site meetings and work closely with delivery teams to ensure commercial success
Requirements:
Around 3–4 years' experience administering contracts involving building services and plant
Previously worked for subcontractors or started career in a hands-on, site-based role
Strong understanding of M&E systems across private, public, and heritage sectors
Excellent communication, negotiation, and commercial management skills
Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Keen to develop professionally, with a pathway to RICS qualification supported
