Job Description

As an active Project Manager in our Specialist Projects team, you will support multiple and complex work assignments, helping to deliver within timeframes and actively contributing to the management of resources to provide exemplary professional services to our clients. You will be as comfortable working autonomously as you will be within a team and will strive to deliver best in class services for a broad range of clients, across multiple projects, with a particular emphasis on projects with a high degree of technical complexity (mechanical / electrical / process content).

Job Responsibility

  • Contributing to the development of Project Management Plans
  • Supporting the development of master programmes
  • Contributing to the interrogation of construction programmes
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to fully define project requirements
  • Establishing, implementing and leading project meetings
  • Producing project correspondence
  • Contributing to the production off and issuance of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Reviewing and commenting upon tender returns
  • Negotiations with contractors
  • Assisting with the review and commentary on design packages
  • Contributing to value engineering and risk review workshops
  • Compiling and tracking risk mitigation activities
  • Assisting with the assessment of Contractor's claims
  • Assessing and reporting on contractor progress
  • Assessing quality on-site
  • Managing the design team
  • Managing and co-ordinating responses to technical queries
  • Selection, recommendation, preparation and administration of construction contracts
  • Ensuring document management
  • Quantity surveying – cost estimation, procurement and tendering, change control, final accounts
  • Assisting with the identification and appointment of sub-consultants
  • Overseeing / reviewing / approving the work of sub-consultants
  • Providing other professional services
  • Participate in and deliver professional development

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant construction discipline
  • Demonstrable experience of working on projects with a high degree of technical complexity (mechanical / electrical / process) as an M&E QS or Project Manager
  • Member of / working towards Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent (desirable)
