The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly. Job Responsibility:
Provide technical assurance and reviews of design proposals ensuring they align with project goals, the DMRB and relevant standards
Lead engineering reviews to drive innovative solutions that can be safely installed and are best for the asset need
Provide challenge to design and contractors proposals
Support the CPS business by advising on overall renewal strategies
Support liaison with National Highways (SES) on technical issues and submissions
Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with CPS Quality Management Processes, internal standards and CDM Regulations
Lead the design and technical delivery of M&E projects from concept through to construction
Provide technical leadership and consultancy to the Design and Engineering Team
Coordinate the design and sequencing of multi-disciplinary schemes within the tunnel environment to ensure integrated solutions
Lead innovation and continual improvement in the delivery of schemes and techniques used in design and construction
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop design solutions
Leading the engineering of work packages
Support and challenge scheme direction and design options via Gateway review process
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Electrical or related field preferred
Proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical projects
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A keen eye for detail
Familiarity with the DMRB, MCHW and British and European regulations and standards
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
Passion for design and a desire to contribute to a creative team
Be a member of a professional body
Be professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification
Must be based in the UK and must already be able to legally work in the UK
