Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic M&A Associate to join our regional team in Southeast Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with 1-3 years of experience in M&A transactions who are looking to further develop their career in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of M&A, corporate finance, and strategic advisory mandates in a regional context.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in all stages of M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, market research, valuation analysis, and drafting transaction documents
Support senior team members in advising clients on M&A opportunities and strategies
Assist with regional M&A projects in Southeast Asia
Conduct industry-specific research and provide analysis on market trends, competitive landscape, and potential acquisition targets
Participate in the development of transaction structures and strategies
Work closely with senior associates, managers, and clients to ensure successful transaction execution

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
1-3 years of experience in M&A advisory, corporate finance, or investment banking
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis
Familiarity with financial software, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Solid understanding of M&A processes, corporate finance, and capital markets

Nice to have:

Professional qualification (CFA, ACA, or equivalent)
Exposure to cross-border transactions in Southeast Asia
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues in Southeast Asia
