Job Description

Reporting to the M&A Manager but working closely with both the M&A Director and Chief Acquisitions Officer, the M&A Analyst will play an integral and multi faceted role in both M&A execution and origination. This will involve evaluating inbound acquisition opportunities, analysing financial performance, preparing investment papers to support key decision-makers as well as supporting deal prospecting including market assessments, scenario analysis and activity reporting. This is a unique opportunity to gain end to end M&A exposure within a fast paced, acquisitive environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Market analysis and support in driving deal prospecting
  • Analyse historical financials and performance metrics of potential acquisition targets
  • Build and maintain financial models, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare concise, data-driven investment papers and summaries for senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) and external advisors during due diligence
  • Help monitor post-deal performance and assist with integration analysis

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), actively studying toward full qualification
  • Experience in corporate finance, M&A, transaction services, or FP&A, however, experience either performing or managing financial due diligence is important
  • Solid financial modelling and Excel skills
  • experience working with large data sets
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and commercial performance drivers
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly and concisely
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
  • Prior experience or interest in property services, real estate, or professional services is advantageous
