The Luxury Beauty Advisor (LBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in Luxury brands (including color cosmetics, skincare and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting guests in the selection and purchase of merchandise. All responsibilities are done while maintaining overall store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment. The Luxury Beauty Advisor represents the image, products and culture of Ulta Beauty and the Luxury brands they support to the Ulta Beauty guest. This position supports the Experience Manager (EM) through a focus on performance (service/retail sales and in-store events), people (guest service and associate culture), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). This position requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.
Job Responsibility:
Maximizing sales in Luxury brands (including color cosmetics, skincare and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting guests in the selection and purchase of merchandise
Maintaining overall store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment
Representing the image, products and culture of Ulta Beauty and the Luxury brands they support
Meeting or exceeding Luxury brand sales and clientele goals
Building the business by achieving sales targets, using all levers such as product services and data capture to build guest loyalty
Sharing the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
Ensuring that each guest receives exceptional service
Building, maintaining, and successfully providing superior service to every guest
Courteously handling sales, refunds, and exchanges
Having solid knowledge of the Luxury brands within the store
Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
Booking appointments for, and supporting the execution of, services and in-store events
Using the provided clientele system to obtain guest information
Taking the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services
Maintaining prompt, regular attendance
Contributing to an inclusive environment
Maintaining strong relationships with Luxury brand partners
Addressing and successfully resolving guest concerns
Collaborating with managers and associates
Attending seasonal seminars and ongoing training
Ensuring compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
Modeling brand image and expectations
Driving sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed and faced
Maintaining outstanding store operational standards
Participating in completing merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and the processing of shipment
Protecting company assets
Executing other operational tasks as directed
Requirements:
High school diploma is preferred
Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by applicable state law
Cosmetics artistry experience preferred
Demonstrate a passion for and significant competency in sales, products, and service
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to positively and proactively handle guest concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
