Job Description:

A leading manufacturer of quality coastal lumber and specialty wood products has an opportunity for a lumber sales professional who is also experienced in logistics. Working in both the sales group and with the shipping personnel, the incumbent will assist in management of transportation functions of two sawmill/value-added mills producing a wide range of Western Red Cedar and Pacific Hem-Fir commodities and specialties. While the US and local are the major focus markets, the company plans to increase direct sales to offshore markets as well. Due to a pending retirement the successful candidate may choose to take over total management of the logistics function at a later date. The Lumber Sales/Logistics person will operate from offices in the Maple Ridge area which can be easily assessed from most Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley locations. Remuneration will be salary based together with a full benefit program.

  • May take over total management of the logistics function at a later date

Requirements:

  • Lumber sales experience to Canadian and US markets
  • Possibly experience with Pacific Rim offshore markets
  • Some experience with logistics for lumber products
