Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Lubrication Technician is responsible for hydrocarbon management within the fixed plant. This includes Master Lube Schedule development and the implementation of best practice storage, dispensing and analysis. Key elements of the role are to carryout manual lubrication, maintenance of automatic grease systems, oil replenishment and oil sampling. Good hydrocarbon management is essential to achieving plant reliability and will be fully supported by the Condition Monitoring and Reliability team. This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8:6, 7:7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out manual grease lubrication of all rotating equipment
  • Maintain and replenishment automatic grease systems
  • Carry out replenishment of all oil lubricated systems
  • Take oil samples and send to laboratory for analysis
  • Changeout of filters on air and oil system
  • Maintain CMMS (Pronto) database
  • Manage stock levels in Lubrication storage areas
  • Installation/Maintenance of grease lines

Requirements:

  • 2-3 Years’ relevant working experience in a similar role
  • Practical knowledge of fixed plant equipment
  • High level of attention to details and disciplined approach to work
  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Positive can-do attitude, sound communication skills and able to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and improve

Nice to have:

  • Preferred qualifications: MLA1 or MLA2
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (Pronto or similar) is desirable
