Lube technician

• Regularly lubricate all machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and checking fluid levels
• Conduct regular machinery inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
• Maintain accurate records of all lubrication and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safety working environment for yourself and your colleagues
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues as they arise
• Keep track of lubrication supplies and ensure timely reordering to prevent shortages
• Work closely with mechanics, operators, and other team members to support overall maintenance efforts

• Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a sawmill or industrial setting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various types of machinery equipment
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough lubrication and maintenance
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions
• Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• High school diploma or equivalent

Technical training in mechanics a related field is a plus
