Job Description:

We are recruiting for experienced LSA and 1:1 Support staff to work within primary and secondary settings supporting pupils with additional needs, including SLD and SEMH. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with transferable skills who are looking to transition into education and make a meaningful impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Support classroom learning under the direction of the class teacher
  • Assist with implementing EHCP targets and learning plans
  • Support communication, engagement and positive behaviour strategies
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Promote independence and confidence in pupils
  • Support personal care needs where required
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work visa
  • Provide details for reference checks
  • Provide an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

Nice to have:

  • Backgrounds in care, youth work, sports coaching, support work, or similar roles
  • Transferable skills looking to transition into education
