Job Description:

The Bremerton Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate and experienced LPN to join our team at our state-of-the-art free-standing emergency room. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interviews patients to gather relevant information and makes an initial assessment
  • Enters patient data in the electronic medical record
  • Observes general and specific physical and behavioral signs and symptoms
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes
  • Monitors patient’s vital signs
  • Performs routine diagnostic/laboratory/therapeutic treatment procedures
  • Obtains medical specimens and cultures
  • Ensures adequate stock of supplies and properly functioning equipment
  • Assists staff and physicians with procedures
  • Performs patient discharge activities
  • Provides reinforcement of information and education through review of discharge instructions
  • Performs nursing handoff to receiving facilities
  • Transports patients in a manner conducive to patient safety and comfort
  • Treats patients, visitor, and staff with courtesy and respect

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program (or equivalent recognized military training)
  • Possession of a current Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification
  • Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire

One year of related clinical work experience is preferred
