Job Responsibility
Provide professional foot care including: Nail trimming and filing
Callus and corn reduction
Assessment and care for thickened, fungal, or ingrown nails
Identification of potential complications (e.g. ulcers, infections, circulation issues)
Conduct foot and lower limb assessments and document findings
Develop and implement personalized care plans based on client needs
Educate clients on proper foot hygiene, footwear, and self-care strategies
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols at all times
Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Travel to client homes or residential facilities as required
Maintain foot care supplies and equipment
Execute on the client's care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Service the Greater Victoria area
Looking for all day time visit (700-1800) weekdays and weekends
Requirements
Current registration in good standing as an LPN with BCCNM
Completion of an Advanced Nursing Foot Care Certification from a recognized program
Valid CPR/First Aid certification
Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (if applicable)
Professional liability insurance (as required by regulatory body)
Nice to have
1+ years experience in community nursing or foot care
Comfortable working independently in client homes or community settings
Experience working with seniors and clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or vascular disease
