Job Description:

Located along scenic waterfront property in Brooklyn, NY, our Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care have earned a reputation for providing quality and compassionate care delivered through programs and services that support individuals needing short-stay or long term inpatient care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for delivering nursing care to resident/patients in a long-term care facility under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Nurse Coordinator and/or RN
  • Responsible for recognizing changes in resident/patient's condition and responding appropriately
  • Communicates effectively with the nurse manager and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient/resident's needs and/or changes in condition
  • Appropriately assigns duties to Certified Nurse Assistants based on resident/patient needs, staff availability and unit needs

Requirements:

  • Certificate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program or required education as described by the NYS Education Department
  • Certificate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
  • NYS LPN license required
  • Good clinical patient care skills and communication skills
  • Must be service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and write in English is required
