Job Responsibility:
Performing a wide range of tasks in a team or individual capacity for industrial and commercial clients
Cabling installation
Equipment rack installation
Jack and connector installation
Testing with various pieces of test equipment
Installs fiber and copper cable in ceiling, conduits and raised floors
Routes cable within walls and modular furniture
Terminates both fiber & copper cabling
Terminates and dresses communications closets following standard BICSI termination processes
Tests cable and ensure accuracy of cable testing, documentation of tests
Demonstrates thorough understanding of cabling standards
Lighting control system installation
Mechanical control systems installation
BAS system installation
Performs testing, troubleshooting
Adequate knowledge of cabling infrastructures
Reads and interprets floor plans
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
NICET Certification
Minimum 10 years previous experience for Level 1 with Class A Supervisor’s refrigeration license
Minimum 5 years previous experience for Level 2 with Journeyman’s refrigeration license
Minimum 3 years previous experience for Level 3 and enrollment in apprenticeship program
Ability to work outside, inside, dusty, noisy, hazardous areas, high places, tight places, confined spaces
Ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, crouch
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
Ability to lift, move, carry 50 lbs
Cabling installation experience
Equipment rack installation experience
Jack and connector installation experience
Experience with CAT3, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, COAX, speaker and control wire
Testing with various test equipment
Installs fiber and copper cable in ceiling, conduits, raised floors
Routes cable within walls and modular furniture
Terminates both fiber & copper cabling
Terminates and dresses communications closets following BICSI standards
