Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Land O'Lakes. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in supporting telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure installations, upgrades, and maintenance. This is an on-site position requiring travel to various project sites as needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications and low-voltage systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
  • Coordinate with vendors for cabling, networking, camera systems, and access control to ensure seamless system integration
  • Perform structured cabling installations, including fiber-optic and copper systems, for network and telecom infrastructure
  • Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades for telecom equipment and related infrastructure
  • Collaborate with internal project managers and field technicians to meet project timelines and client expectations
  • Assist in building out infrastructure for new installations and expansions
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field promptly and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards during all installations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and project updates

Requirements

  • Proven experience in telecommunications, particularly in telecom rooms, central offices, or carrier environments
  • Strong background in low-voltage systems, including access control, security systems, and related technologies
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems, including fiber-optic and copper installations
  • Familiarity with telecom equipment installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of CCTV and audio-visual systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with project teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Availability to work on-site, with potential overtime based on project needs
