The Low Voltage Service Manager leads a fast-paced service department responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems including security, access control, CCTV, data cabling, and related technologies. This role is critical in a hyper-growth environment and requires a leader who thrives in change, maintains composure under pressure, communicates clearly, and leads with accountability and humility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solution-oriented, and focused on team success—not personal status.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, train, and develop service technicians and coordinators in a high-expectation environment
Set clear standards for professionalism, communication, and accountability
Provide calm, direct leadership during high-pressure situations and escalations
Foster a team-first culture where respect, collaboration, and adaptability are non-negotiable
Schedule and dispatch technicians to meet aggressive service timelines
Ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Actively identify operational gaps and coordinate potential implement process improvements
Serve as the escalation point for service issues, maintaining a professional and composed demeanor at all times
Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and leadership
Drive resolution, not excuses
Support service agreements and long-term customer satisfaction initiatives
Ensure all work complies with local codes
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation
Enforce safety standards and company policies consistently
Monitor labor costs, department budget, and profitability
Report on metrics and performance indicators to leadership
Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and scalability
Design and launch preventive maintenance programs for low voltage systems
Create service agreement offerings, scopes, pricing models, and renewal processes
Partner with sales and leadership to convert install customers into maintenance clients
Establish inspection schedules, documentation standards, and reporting templates
Track recurring revenue, contract performance, and customer retention
Continuously improving the maintenance model to support long-term scalability
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s (preferred)
3+ years of experience in low voltage systems (Access Control, CCTV, Data)
Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management role
Strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems and troubleshooting
Clear, direct communicator—written and verbal
Organized, decisive, and comfortable making judgment calls
Able to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficient with service management software, MS Office, and mobile apps
