Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring a Security Installation Technician I to perform installations of electronic security systems, working along with other technicians, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all installations.

Job Responsibility

  • Complete and run all wiring (related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs), connections, and equipment installations, ensuring that systems are complete and operational for electronic security systems for commercial clients, including, door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and other security systems
  • Test new system installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and meets industry standards
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle
  • Minimum of zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, low voltage communication systems, technical training or vocational coursework in electronics security systems
  • Military veterans are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience as an electronics technician or aviation technician
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required state-specific licenses and effectively leverage technology, including Microsoft Office and other systems
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with clients, and accurately document, report, and complete work to meet deadlines
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and work at various ladder heights

Nice to have

  • Experience in the electronic security industry
  • Experience with troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with any of the following: Software House, CCURE, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
