Job Description

Take responsibility for the operation whilst working as part of a production team in the manufacture of products that exceed customer expectations whilst adhering to all required standards, meeting, and exceeding quality standards, achieving targets on time and in full, within budget behaving in a safe manner, ensuring Food Safety and maintaining hygiene standards.

  • Arrive at workstation to commence slicing 15 minutes before start of shift
  • Operate just in time process ensuring material is available to minimise changeovers and downtime
  • Ensure log conditioning is to the correct standard prior to loading machine
  • Control product giveaway
  • Maintain and adhere to Food Safety standards at all times
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Support other areas of manufacturing when directed
  • Comply with all hygiene standards
  • Adhere to all quality standards
  • Follow all Standard Operating procedures
  • Achieve the production plan
  • Participate in multiskilling through job rotation

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Successful completion or willing to undertake training in L2 Food Safety and L2 Health and Safety Principles
  • Group and site induction
  • Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures
  • Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting
