Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in Union and Somerset Counties, NJ. Responsible for transporting, installing, and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized and structured manner.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for transporting, installing, and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized and structured manner
  • Attend driver training and follow Brightstar's vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of company vehicles
  • Maintain equipment to promote the continuous operation of Brightstar equipment
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to restore it to working order in the field
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers
  • Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts, such as paper, ribbons, and bet slips, and track the inventory of these items
  • Deliver basic training to new retailers or refresher/remedial training to retailers performing procedures incorrectly
  • Complete primary forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for procedure improvements

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent required
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a customer service-related position
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in technical repairs
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to perceive colors correctly
  • Must be able to drive a 20ft box truck on occasion, CDL license NOT required
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb a ladder, lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance
  • Must be able to transport with the assistance of a colleague and lifting equipment, up to 800lbs
  • Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools and work with moving parts and electrical current
  • May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations
  • Must reside in proximity to the area of coverage

  • Completes annual hospital competencies
  • Learns new equipment/supplies, procedures, and processes as needed to perform their job as appropriate
  • Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique
