The Lot Truck Driver is responsible for providing minor mechanical assistance to vehicles located on auction property. This role supports lot operations by providing maintenance service to both customers and teammates and locating and moving vehicles as assigned. The Lot Truck Driver operates trucks and related machinery to reposition and prepare vehicles for auction.
Job Responsibility:
Drive, operate, and maintain the lot truck
Assist customers and employees by maintaining gas tanks, tire air supply, and performing jump starts when required
Maintain inventory of gas cans, jumper cables, air tanks and other equipment
Perform minor mechanical repairs on vehicles to prepare for auction
Operate trucks or machinery to move vehicles into the auction block
Assist customers with locating vehicles or other related requests
Clean and maintain work area and associated tools and machinery
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years of experience operating trucks, machinery, or minor automotive repair or maintenance
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required
Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Proven communication and interaction skills
Demonstrated skill with minor automotive repair or maintenance
Proven ability to operate trucks or machinery
Ability to work both inside automotive machinery or outside in varying conditions as required
Able to operate and manipulate equipment or machinery as necessary to perform role
Must be able to position self to rig vehicles, which may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, standing, and sitting
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. for various needs
