Job Description:

Edwards Storm Lake (GM & Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram) is looking for a Lot Porter/Detailer to join our team. In this role, the Porter/detailer will clean, move and park vehicles, manage vehicle stock, catalog vehicle location, and the individual VIN. Maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance on all dealership lots and in showrooms. Collaborate closely with management to keep tasks completed on time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keeps vehicle lots neat and orderly
  • moving cars when needed while keeping in the display standards for the dealership
  • Clean the interior and exterior of the vehicles, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc.
  • Picks up and drive vehicles to the customers as directed by management
  • Start vehicles, keep vehicles fueled, and report any problems or concerns to management
  • Pick up parts from the parts department
  • Install required forms/stickers and license plates on vehicles
  • Light janitorial work in shop and or showroom

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License (Required)
  • No prior experience or training is needed
  • Willingness to be flexible and take direction
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Being a team player and contributing wherever needed is essential
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Punctual with strong attendance history
