Job Description:

Loss Prevention Officer position at Marriott's Aruba Surf Club responsible for property security, guest safety, emergency response, and maintaining a secure environment while delivering Marriott's standards of hospitality.

Job Responsibility:

Patrol all areas of the property
Assist guests with room access
Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system
Lock property entrances when required
Conduct daily physical hazard inspections
Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required
Assist guests/employees during emergency situations
Notify appropriate individuals of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
Defuse guest/employee disturbances
Complete incident reports for Security/Loss Prevention incidents
Handle interruptions and complaints
Resolve safety hazard situations
Escort unwelcome persons from property
Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts
Complete Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report
Maintain confidentiality of Security/Loss Prevention documents
Conduct investigations and gather evidence
Conduct interviews with relevant parties

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move at speed required for work situations (run, walk, jog)
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
