Job Description

The Loss Prevention Field Auditor plays a key role in protecting company assets, reducing shrink, and supporting a culture of integrity across all retail locations. This position conducts investigations, executes in-store audits, partners with local law enforcement when necessary, and drives proactive strategies to prevent theft and operational loss.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct on-site and virtual LP audits to assess compliance with company policies, cash handling, inventory controls, and security standards
  • Investigate internal and external theft, fraud, and policy violations using CCTV, POS data, and Power BI reporting tools
  • Lead suspect interviews and coordinate with HR and leadership on disciplinary or termination processes
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to file reports, submit evidence, and represent the company during investigations
  • Partner with Operations and Learning & Development to build preventative measures, educate field teams, and strengthen loss awareness culture
  • Produce detailed investigation reports and maintain accurate case documentation in the LP tracking system
  • Identify process gaps and propose solutions to enhance compliance and minimize shrink
  • Support new store openings by validating CCTV coverage, Smart Safe installation, and operational readiness
  • Serve as an LP ambassador, building strong partnerships with field leaders to ensure consistent execution and awareness across all stores

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Investigations (retail environment preferred)
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Proven experience conducting interviews and writing investigative reports
  • Strong understanding of CCTV, POS exception reports, refund/no sale/price override analysis, and audit practices
  • Working knowledge of law enforcement processes and case coordination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to build trust with field teams
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to travel frequently (up to 70%) to stores across assigned regions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field preferred
