Job Description

At W Rome, every moment matters. We’re searching for a Loss Prevention / Duty Manager who can protect the pulse of the hotel and elevate daily operations with confidence, style, and seamless coordination. This isn’t a back‑of‑house role — it’s a front‑and‑center leadership position that blends operational mastery with a sharp eye for safety, a cool head under pressure, and a passion for delivering whatever guests need, whenever they need it. You’ll be the one who keeps everything moving — from guest arrivals to last‑minute challenges, from security protocols to empowering Talent across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and more.

Job Responsibility

  • Be the go‑to leader who ensures the hotel runs smoothly across all departments
  • Jump into operations wherever needed — clearing bottlenecks, reshaping flow, and supporting Talent with hands‑on guidance
  • Be present on the floors: lobby, F&B, corridors, Whatever/Whenever, guest floors — you run the show
  • Resolve guest challenges with speed, empathy, and the signature W attitude
  • Coordinate with FO, HSK, and F&B leaders to keep the vibe high and the service tight
  • Stand in as the key decision-maker during your shift, keeping the experience on point at all times
  • Patrol the hotel to keep guests, Talent, and spaces safe, stylish, and fully functional
  • Lead investigations, manage incidents, and complete flawless documentation
  • Maintain compliance with W brand standards and local regulations (incl. Italian Law D.Lgs 81/08)
  • Train Talent on safety culture and emergency readiness
  • Build connections with local authorities and external partners
  • Keep equipment, systems, and safety tools ready for anything
  • Inspire confidence: Talent looks to you for stability, clarity, and direction
  • Motivate with attitude: authentic, present, and in control — never stiff
  • Spot what others miss and act before others react
  • Celebrate wins and keep the team connected
  • Support performance evaluations, coaching, and Talent development
  • Stand where guests are — lobby, restaurant, public spaces — leading with presence
  • Turn issues into opportunities, tension into connection, challenges into wow moments
  • Be the main link between guests and internal teams during your shift
  • Support VIP escorts, special events, and high-profile arrivals

Requirements

  • A solid hospitality experience in hotel or cruise ships operations, with 5+ years in senior role
  • Understanding of Italian safety regulations (D.Lgs. 81/08)
  • Bold leadership and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to stay cool, stylish, and sharp under pressure
  • Clear communication and polished interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy enough to manage reports and systems with ease

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with Company bonus structure and yearly merit increase program
  • Free Internal Gym
  • Uniform laundry
  • Dedicate hotel rates for Marriott International - 30 brands and over 9.600 properties around the World
