Job Description:

Loss Prevention and Safety Leader position at IKEA focusing on protecting co-workers, customers, and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness. The role involves various compliance tasks, risk management, incident response, and maintaining safety and security standards throughout the property.

Job Responsibility:

Protects IKEA's co-workers, customers, and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness within the unit
Assists the Unit Risk & Compliance Manager in various compliance tasks including assessments, follow-up, training, and statistical reports
Oversees the safety and security of people and property within the site/unit
Initiates, monitors and responds to incidents and ensures rapid response, investigation, documentation and reporting of all incidents and emergency situations
Minimizes theft and fraud utilizing loss prevention procedures
Assists in leading the unit's physical security program, safety program, and compliance program
Coordinates assessment (audit) activity on a regular basis
Ensures the unit's Safety Committee Meeting is held per standards

Requirements:

2 years previous experience of retail safety & security (loss prevention/asset protection)
Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and local legislation and requirements regarding safety, security and risk in a retail environment
Knowledge and experience with safety committees, auditing, and incident report writing
Candidates in Oregon, New York, and St. Louis, MO, must be eligible to obtain a security guard license as required by applicable local law
