Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales & Events Manager to join Balfour Winery, a family-run, award-winning business rooted in warm hospitality and memorable experiences. You will be responsible for driving event sales and managing the full event journey across our London sites, working closely with venue teams and the winery events team to deliver seamless, standout events.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive private dining, corporate event, and wedding sales through proactive outreach and inbound enquiries
  • Manage events end-to-end, from first enquiry through to delivery
  • Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Manage guest communications across booking platforms including Design My Night, Tripleseat, and Booking Hound (experience preferred)
  • Upsell venue features and additional services to maximise revenue
  • Host site visits, create bespoke proposals and contracts, and manage CRM data accurately
  • Collaborate with venue teams, operations, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth delivery and invoicing
  • Keep online listings, photos, and promotions up to date
  • Ensure venues are fully prepared for every event
  • Represent the Balfour brand at showcases and industry events

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in hospitality and event management
  • Proven experience in sales, reservations, and events management
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and revenue-focused
  • A strong communicator who builds rapport quickly with clients and teams
  • Highly organised, detail-driven, and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about hospitality, family-led values, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
