Als Lokführer:in bist du dafür verantwortlich, dass unsere Fahrgäste und Züge sicher und pünktlich durch ganz Deutschland reisen. The role involves a 12-month full-time retraining program in Leipzig, combining theoretical and practical instruction, after which the job can also be performed part-time.

Job Responsibility:

  • steer our trains with over 10,000 hp on various routes within Germany
  • observe applicable guidelines and instructions in daily work, considering economic and ecological aspects
  • responsibly handle irregularities or disruptions in operations
  • ensure smooth communication between yourself, your colleagues, and other interfaces
  • monitor and, if necessary, perform control and maintenance work

Requirements:

  • successfully completed vocational training, ideally in a technical field (e.g., electrician, mechanic, mechatronics technician) or a completed university degree
  • minimum age of 20 at the start of the qualification
  • pronounced customer orientation
  • familiarity with working with digital media (e.g., tablet, smartphone)
  • willingness for irregular shift and alternating duty as well as occasional overnight stays away from home
  • fluent German language skills in speech and writing
