Job Description:

We are a growing Japanese food manufacturer/distributor and are looking for an individual who is energetic, motivated and has a desire to learn and advance together with our company.

Job Responsibility:

Processing all in-and outbound shipments including sorting, logging, delivering, packing and shipping
Driving company van to pick up and deliver items
Auditing each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order
Packing and labeling products based on established standards
Ensuring that proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are shipped with correct order
Various aspects of receiving, stocking, and releasing products
preparing shipping and receiving documentation
maintaining orderly files for all documentation
Participating in scheduling of daily transportation
Processing all receiving transactions and paperwork
Inspecting all incoming freight for damage
follow-up with Purchasing department to resolve any damaged freight issues
Assisting in maintaining material inventory levels
Assisting in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments
Assisting in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in shipping area
Performing required administrative tasks
preparing all required reports and correspondence
Reporting, invoice checking, cost comparison and analysis, researching, etc.
Work site and equipment maintenance arrangement, clean up

Requirements:

Able to communicate in English
Detailed oriented/accuracy
Physically fit, quick learner and self-starter under minimal supervision
Able to perform labour-intensive, physically demanding work
Multi-tasking skills
Computer skills
Experience with operating stand-up forklift
Able to operate a hand jack or electric pallet jack
A valid driver license (clean driving record)
