Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Logistics Trainer to join the team. While candidates may be based at Luton, Dover, or Peterborough, the Logistics Trainer will support training delivery at all three locations, travelling between sites as required. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, with an additional need to be flexible in terms of some night working and travelling to other sites. Job Responsibility:
Lead on allocated training projects, in collaboration with key colleagues, through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, through to design, development, and implementation
Design and deliver the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) Training, warehouse training and any other training where required
Establish partnerships with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learners to gain insight, identify needs and design learner-centric solutions so that any learning is delivered in the most timely and effective manner
Use learning design tools and templates to ensure consistency and timely progress
Develop materials that are creative, engaging, relevant, appropriate to course topic and delivery method
Gather feedback and review both new and existing training programs, determine the need for improvement and work to implement change
Support depot assessors and mentors to ensure individual learners are progressing sufficiently and any learning requirements are met
Act as a company ambassador externally and attends relevant meetings and public events when required
Commit to continuous personal and professional development and reflective practice and encourage others to do the same
Requirements:
Qualified to a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in learning and development or coaching and mentoring
Experienced in working with staff at all levels and working in a team-based office environment in a customer-facing role
Proven experience of designing and delivering high quality learning and development solutions, both digitally and on a face-to-face basis
Extensive knowledge and application of company-wide procedures and associated guidance
IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and able to compile, analyse, and interpret relevant data
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a wide and dispersed team
Ability to use initiative and organise their work so that key tasks can be completed fully and on time
Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
Proven verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
High attention to detail and confident to challenge discrepancies where necessary in the right manner and on a timely basis
Ability to act with sensitivity and influence others to take a particular course of action
Capable of remaining calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult conversations
Be prepared to travel to and assist with assessing and training colleagues at other depots on a nationwide basis
