Job Description

We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused post-secondary student to join our team this summer! This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn about our Logistics team, our Company and the transportation Industry. The Logistics department is a fast-growing brokerage arm of Bison Transport that builds Bison’s network across North America by developing strong relationships with our partner carriers.

Job Responsibility

  • Track shipments in real-time using tools such as GPS
  • Assist brokers and brokerage staff with day-to-day responsibilities
  • Contact drivers and dispatch by phone to confirm status updates
  • Monitor and update events such as arrivals and departures in various operating systems
  • Identify delays or route deviations and escalate as needed
  • Process shipment updates received from various sources
  • Provide proactive shipment status updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to inquiries for information from various sources
  • Record information in various operating systems
  • Troubleshoot as required
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an 8‑month co‑op program and able to join us from May to December 2026
  • Currently enrolled in a Commerce, Management or Business Administration degree, your record should reflect balanced achievement in academics and practical experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong sales aptitude, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build value-based relationships
