Job Description:

Clover Consulting has a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI in need of a Logistics Specialist for a Contract or Contract-to-Hire opportunity. This is an On-Site role in Grand Rapids, MI. Qualified candidates, please provide resume. Thank you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Track and trace full-truckload, less than truckload, parcel, and expedited shipments within logistics to ensure flawless execution of on-time delivery
  • Communicate with dedicated fleet carriers, contracted carriers, and brokers daily via email and phone
  • Review claims
  • Complete reports
  • Complete additional tasks supporting day to day transportation logistics
  • Ensure dealers and customers receive world-class delivery performance on every shipment

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft tools like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Transportation experience dispatching, tendering, shipment tracing, 3rd party brokerage, or some other closely related transportation role
  • Can communicate effectively both inside and outside the organization with various carriers using email and phone

Nice to have:

  • SAP knowledge
  • Experience using a Transportation Management system
  • GPS carrier tracking (MacroPoint or similar tool)
  • Smartsheet
  • Tableau or similar data visibility tool
