As a Logistics Service Coordinator at Airbus Defence and Space SAU, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics processes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of parts, materials, and services for our defence programs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and internal customer satisfaction within a complex global supply chain.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive logistics strategies, policies, and procedures for various defence and space projects
Lead and coordinate all aspects of the logistics lifecycle, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, customs clearance, and distribution, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards
Manage relationships with external logistics providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts and service level agreements to optimize cost and performance
Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure the availability of critical parts and materials to support production schedules and maintenance activities, proactively addressing potential supply chain disruptions
Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Implement and utilize advanced logistics planning and tracking systems to maintain real-time visibility and control over the supply chain
Oversee the management of import and export compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant national and international trade regulations
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to forecast material needs and integrate logistics requirements into project planning
Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and strategic initiatives to senior management
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the aerospace, defence, or a highly regulated industry
Proven experience in managing complex global supply chains and international logistics operations
Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export control requirements
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers
Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities with a proven track record of developing and motivating staff
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with fluency in English required. Spanish proficiency is a significant advantage
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Nice to have:
Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., AS/EN 9100) is desirable
