Job Description

As a Logistics Service Coordinator at Airbus Defence and Space SAU, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics processes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of parts, materials, and services for our defence programs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and internal customer satisfaction within a complex global supply chain.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive logistics strategies, policies, and procedures for various defence and space projects
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the logistics lifecycle, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, customs clearance, and distribution, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards
  • Manage relationships with external logistics providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts and service level agreements to optimize cost and performance
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure the availability of critical parts and materials to support production schedules and maintenance activities, proactively addressing potential supply chain disruptions
  • Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Implement and utilize advanced logistics planning and tracking systems to maintain real-time visibility and control over the supply chain
  • Oversee the management of import and export compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant national and international trade regulations
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to forecast material needs and integrate logistics requirements into project planning
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and strategic initiatives to senior management

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the aerospace, defence, or a highly regulated industry
  • Proven experience in managing complex global supply chains and international logistics operations
  • Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export control requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers
  • Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with a proven track record of developing and motivating staff
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with fluency in English required. Spanish proficiency is a significant advantage
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice to have

Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., AS/EN 9100) is desirable
