Job Description:

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Logistics/Procurement Specialist to support the SEWS program in Colorado Springs

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify requirements for funding, materials, transportation, facilities, and support services needed for a program
  • Integrate and synchronize logistics functions across supply, maintenance, transportation, and support activities to deliver mission ready capability at the right time and place
  • Analyze contractor records and performance, identifying trends in supply processes (e.g., inventory accuracy, repair cycles)
  • Serve as technical advisor on logistics support contracts
  • Support documentation preparation for spares, tools, equipment, manuals, shipping logistics, and import/export compliance
  • Conduct market research, analyze suppliers, and utilize “commercial first” approaches when possible
  • Evaluate bids and proposals and prepare justifications and determinations
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition laws, DoD contracting regulations, and purchasing policies
  • Solicit quotes, administer contracts/purchase orders, monitor contractor performance, manage modifications, ensure delivery schedules, and resolve disputes
  • Maintain procurement documentation to ensure transparency and auditability

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, shipping coordination, documentation, and compliance with import/export laws
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Experience evaluating bids, performing cost/price analysis, and ensuring contractor compliance
  • Experience in applying FAR/DFARS and DoD contracting procedures
  • Thorough understanding of contracting principles, acquisition procedures, and legal/ethical requirements
  • Familiarity with logistics/supply databases
