A leading organization in the international food industry has an excellent opportunity for you as a Senior Operations Manager in Brampton. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $110,000 to $150,000 and includes a comprehensive, company-paid benefits package. You will lead a large logistics team managing high-volume global trade, specializing in cold chain reefers and ocean freight, while enjoying hybrid work flexibility and unique summer hours.
Job Responsibility:
Provide strategic direction to a team of 6-15 coordinators managing over 300 weekly shipments across national or global trade lanes
Take ownership of high-volume ocean freight operations, including direct negotiations with steamship lines and managing foreign-to-foreign cargo movements
Oversee complex temperature-controlled logistics, ensuring the integrity of the cold chain for diverse food commodities
Act as a primary driver of operational efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehousing and intermodal drayage
Manage logistics budgets and RFQ processes while resolving vendor claims related to marine and inland transport
Requirements:
More than 10 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years leading teams in high-volume food or frozen goods environments
Expertise in ocean freight, specifically with ocean reefers and steamship line negotiations
Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel
Proven ability to lead strong-willed, diverse teams
Bold leadership style with the ability to advocate for process changes

Advanced degree or CSCP, CPIM, or CITT certifications
