A leading organization in the international food industry has an excellent opportunity for you as a Senior Operations Manager in Brampton. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $110,000 to $150,000 and includes a comprehensive, company-paid benefits package. You will lead a large logistics team managing high-volume global trade, specializing in cold chain reefers and ocean freight, while enjoying hybrid work flexibility and unique summer hours.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic direction to a team of 6-15 coordinators managing over 300 weekly shipments across national or global trade lanes
  • Take ownership of high-volume ocean freight operations, including direct negotiations with steamship lines and managing foreign-to-foreign cargo movements
  • Oversee complex temperature-controlled logistics, ensuring the integrity of the cold chain for diverse food commodities
  • Act as a primary driver of operational efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehousing and intermodal drayage
  • Manage logistics budgets and RFQ processes while resolving vendor claims related to marine and inland transport

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years leading teams in high-volume food or frozen goods environments
  • Expertise in ocean freight, specifically with ocean reefers and steamship line negotiations
  • Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel
  • Proven ability to lead strong-willed, diverse teams
  • Bold leadership style with the ability to advocate for process changes

Nice to have

Advanced degree or CSCP, CPIM, or CITT certifications
