The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics and supply chain processes within Aramex. This includes managing the transportation, warehouse operations, and ensuring the efficiency of the logistics network. The role requires strong leadership, a focus on cost optimization, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service while meeting operational targets.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
Ensure smooth and efficient coordination of logistics activities to meet customer expectations and business goals
Manage and optimize operational processes to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance productivity
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Monitor performance metrics such as delivery times, inventory accuracy, and cost per shipment, and take corrective action as necessary
Supervise and lead a team of logistics staff, providing coaching and development to improve performance and operational efficiency
Manage relationships with external partners, including suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers, to ensure service levels are met
Oversee the planning and execution of the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and inventory availability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Service, etc.) to address customer issues and optimize service delivery
Manage the implementation of new technologies or systems to improve logistics operations and data tracking
Ensure safety, security, and compliance with environmental and health standards within all logistics operations
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, highlighting key trends, areas of improvement, and achievements
Continuously evaluate and improve logistics strategies to ensure Aramex remains competitive in the market
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
7+ years’ experience in logistics and operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong experience in managing transportation, warehouse operations, and inventory management within a logistics or supply chain environment
Proven ability to manage large teams and external stakeholders
