NTT DATA seeks a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead large-scale networking and fiber infrastructure programs within our Public Sector SLED practice. This role requires deep expertise in managing service provider networks and delivering complex IT programs across geographically dispersed environments. It also requires advanced customer interaction skills to be leveraged across multiple layers of customer engagement and influence.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate, serialized asset inventory for all managed materials
Manage warehouse operations, storage, packaging, tooling, and staging
Track and reconcile inventory levels for routers, switches, optics, fiber materials, racks, patch cables, and spare parts
Maintain full custody records, including barcoding, labeling, and asset tagging
Support NOC and dispatch teams by preparing equipment for rapid deployment
Oversee vendor RMA processes, equipment repairs, and warranty claims
Maintain logistics SOPs, chain-of-custody policies, and asset compliance documentation
Coordinate equipment delivery for engineering projects and break/fix events
Forecast inventory needs based on consumption rates, project plans, and failure trends
Bill of Materials (BOM) Development - Create detailed, accurate BOMs for network related projects and maintenance efforts based on engineering designs and project and maintenance requirements
Third-Party Coordination - Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with Contractors, distributors, client staff and field teams, ensuring adherence to timelines and special handling and delivery requirements
Material Readiness and Staging - Oversee preparation and staging of materials for field deployment, verify completeness of project packages to avoid delays
Returns and Disposition Management - Process returns of unused or defective materials and manage compliant disposal or recycling of obsolete equipment when necessary
Requirements:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related discipline. Equivalent work experience of five (5) years may be substituted for a degree
5+ years experience in logistics, supply chain management, procurement or inventory control, including at least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role
5+ years logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management experience
Experience with serialized asset tracking systems
Knowledge of networking equipment types, form factors, and handling requirements
Experience supporting field operations and dispatch coordination
Strong knowledge of logistic operations, state procurement processes, inventory management systems and contractor coordination
Require 50% onsite in Baltimore, MD
Nice to have:
Understanding of state/local government procurement processes and compliance requirements
Ability to navigate regulatory frameworks for public sector IT projects
ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification
