Reporting to the Shaw Transport General Manager, you will be part of the Shaw Transport Team and will play an integral role in management of load movement and on-time deliveries. You will utilize your logistics, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to optimize operations by keeping the Shaw Values (Safety, Integrity, Responsibility, Customer Understanding, Constant Improvement, and Collaboration) front of mind and being laser focused on meeting customer expectations, while fostering strategic partnerships.
Job Responsibility:
Following commercial transport safety regulations and taking necessary precautions to ensure safe operations on and off the road.
Planning, coordinating and ensuring products are delivered safely, on time and in expected condition.
Monitoring of asset utilization and location to effectively assign routes and preventative maintenance requirements of tractors and trailers.
Managing Shaw Transport drivers including load assignments, providing dispatch details, and maintaining systems supporting safety, hours on the road, maintenance, etc.
Seeking cost effective transportation methods and negotiating contracts
Providing timely and professional responses to customer inquiries.
Adapting to unforeseen challenges, such as road disruptions or regulatory changs
Maintaining accurate records (invoice, payroll, IFTA reporting, carrier profile, etc.).
Performing other duties as required to maintain and enhance customer relations, divisional productivity, and strategic partnerships.
Requirements:
Safety and Quality focus
Minimum 3-5 of experience in logistics management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
