Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu). We are seeking a Logistics Inbound Planning Supervisor to lead the team responsible for GM's inbound logistics planning across domestic and intercontinental networks. This leader will orchestrate end-to-end network planning design and maintenance and inbound financial governance (Budget, Forecast, Closing), It is required a data-driven people leader who thrives on complex problem solving, sets clear governance and KPIs, and influences a broad stakeholder set to balance cost, service, and risk. The role partners closely with Logistics Purchasing, Supply Chain, Materials Handling, Finance, GBS and Accounting.
Job Responsibility:
Own the strategy and governance for inbound network design/redesign (local & international suppliers), set standards for cost per cubic meter, cube utilization, mode definitions and frequency, ensuring alignment with business targets
Direct the team's weekly network maintenance to absorb mix/volume fluctuations while maximizing equipment utilization
Supports logistics network designs for new vehicle launches and major projects
ensure complete, cost-optimized route portfolios are ready for flawless SORP and properly handed over for execution
Familiarity guiding SOR creation, vendor negotiations support, and launch-readiness for new programs
Oversee the consolidation and reporting of inbound logistics Forecast (Budget, monthly Forecast, Risks & Opportunities) and Actuals, accruals, reclassifications, internal-order validations, and absorption-rate updates in partnership with GPSC Finance, GBS, and Accounting to ensure accurate P&L impact
Create/oversee SOR (Statement of Requirements) and requisitions for logistics services to enable sourcing actions and contract continuity plus being responsible to for volume definition to support BID processes
Drive cost leadership and deliver savings targets, ensuring positive variance against forecast and building a robust pipeline of initiatives
Build and govern a cost-reduction pipeline
challenge status quo, sponsor business cases, remove roadblocks, and ensure on-time implementation
Foster environment to support, skill up, empower the team and promote innovation, through partnership with Startups, automation, AI agents, and Copilot integration to enhance planning efficiency and decision-making
Expand data infrastructure and leverage advanced analytics for real-time cost visibility and optimization
Track record of implementing automation, AI, and digital tools to drive efficiency and innovation
Establish KPIs (e.g., cube utilization, cost per cubic meter, trips/vehicle) and conduct reviews with suppliers
ensure preventive and corrective actions and escalations are timely
Anticipate blowout risks, approve/drive mitigations, and ensure processes and records meet internal/external audit expectations
Lead and develop Inbound Planning team to build a high-performance, data-driven culture
Foster innovation, inclusion, and dialogue to promote talent retention and digital capability building.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Foreign Trade, Engineering, Administration or related field
Advanced or Fluent English
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders (Supply Chain, Materials Handling, Logistics Purchasing, Finance and external logistics providers)
Strong knowledge of domestic and intercontinental logistics network processes
Familiarity with automation, and digital transformation tools
Advanced Excel and solid presentation/communication skills
Availability: Ability to travel as needed to plants, suppliers, and logistics partners.
Nice to have:
Logistics/Supply Chain, including inbound planning and/or logistics operations
experience consolidating budget/forecast and managing accruals/reclassifications preferred.
