We are looking for a skilled Logistics Data Analyst to join our team in Hillside, New Jersey. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in analyzing logistics data, creating actionable insights, and driving process improvements to optimize operations. Ideal candidates are analytical thinkers with expertise in data management tools and a passion for enhancing logistics efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Collect, clean, and analyze logistics data from multiple sources to uncover trends and areas for improvement
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
Implement strategies to enhance logistics processes and efficiency based on data-driven insights
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success
Collaborate with teams across logistics, finance, and IT to support informed decision-making
Utilize forecasting techniques to predict logistics trends and support strategic planning, including container budgeting based on units
Manage and optimize databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility
Perform ad-hoc analyses to address specific projects and initiatives
Consolidate historical cost and rate information into an organized database for reference
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a logistics or business context
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power Query)
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Excel VBA, etc)
Proficiency in data visualization software (e.g., Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI)
Strong knowledge of database queries, pivot tables, and advanced Excel functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic, self-starter, ability to work independently
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong work ethics and Teamwork attitude
Nice to have:
