Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily distribution activities for a retail operation in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This 6–8-week Contract position will focus on keeping shipments organized, maintaining accurate delivery records, and ensuring timely communication between internal teams and drivers. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-moving setting, stays organized under pressure, and takes a precise approach to logistics administration. This role is 100% onsite, M-F 8am-5pm with Saturdays being an option to work 11am-3pm or 4pm for overtime.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and send delivery updates so key stakeholders remain informed on shipment status
Maintain accurate records of racks and equipment left at individual delivery locations
Create driver voucher documentation to support timely and correct payment processing
Print, sort, and organize invoices for distribution and recordkeeping purposes
Monitor delivery progress and help keep shipment information current throughout the day
Serve as a point of contact for drivers when leadership is unavailable, providing timely responses and operational support
Coordinate routine shipping and distribution tasks to help daily logistics activities run smoothly

Requirements:

At least 1 years of experience in logistics, shipping, distribution, or a related coordination role
Working knowledge of transportation or delivery support processes within a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
Ability to learn new procedures quickly through hands-on training and by asking thoughtful questions
High level of attention to detail, especially when handling records, vouchers, and invoices
Capacity to stay focused and productive in an active, high-energy workplace
Effective communication skills for interacting with drivers and internal team members
