A Logistics Coordinator oversees the efficient flow of goods, information, and resources throughout the supply chain. This role is responsible for managing shipment schedules, coordinating transportation, and maintaining clear communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Logistics Coordinators play a key role in problem-solving, addressing delays, and optimizing logistical processes to keep operations running smoothly.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including shipments, inventory, and deliveries
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule shipments and resolve any transportation or delivery issues
Prepare and review shipping documents, invoices, and customs forms to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
Track shipments and proactively manage exceptions or delays, delivering updates to relevant stakeholders
Maintain records and databases related to inventory, transportation, orders, and shipments
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics operations and reduce costs
Support purchasing and procurement efforts as they relate to logistical planning and inventory management
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain management is an asset
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with logistics software, Excel, and other relevant computer applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
