Job Description:

With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring Logistics Coordinators at our office in Vittoria, ON. This role is for a highly organized person with strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent time management. The Logistics Coordinator will support the Logistics Account Manager and/or Fleet Manager through coordinating and monitoring truckload transportation activities by communicating with carriers throughout the delivery process to ensure efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Handling high telephone call volumes in a courteous, efficient manner
Working with carriers and drivers to monitor loading, unloading, and the time management of freight transit
Assist Fleet Managers in communication and updates required to customers
Performing data entry accurately maintaining up-to-date information in the Transportation Management System and record management system
Develop long-term relationships with drivers by providing them with excellent customer service
Proactively identify and solve issues with Logistics Account Managers and Fleet Managers
Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Fleet Manager

Requirements:

High levels of organization, written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
Excellent computer skills
The ability to work well independently and collaboratively with a team
Work experience in customer-facing roles from the following industries is welcomed and appreciated: hospitality, administration, retail, and/or the trucking and logistics industry is an asset
