The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating residential and commercial moves, managing schedules, dispatching crews and vehicles, and ensuring timely and efficient service execution. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and schedule local and long-distance moving services
Dispatch drivers and moving crews, ensuring proper equipment and staffing levels
Communicate with customers to confirm move details, timelines, and special requirements
Monitor daily routes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays
Prepare and maintain shipping documents, contracts, and inventory records
Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and management
Resolve service issues promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate records within internal systems and ensure billing accuracy
Support warehouse coordination and inventory control as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation coordination, or related field
Experience within moving, transportation, freight, or service-based industries preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and scheduling/dispatch software
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Customer-service oriented with strong problem-solving skills
