We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will oversee the planning and scheduling of transportation for outbound shipments from third-party warehouses, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving transportation issues.
Job Responsibility:
Schedule and coordinate truck transportation for outbound shipments from third-party warehouse facilities
Communicate shipment details effectively with warehouse teams, carriers, and internal departments
Obtain freight quotes and choose carriers based on cost, service quality, and delivery timelines
Arrange full truckload and less-than-truckload shipments with approved carriers
Monitor shipment progress and address delays or issues to ensure on-time delivery
Maintain precise records, including bills of lading and other transportation-related documentation
Collaborate with warehouse partners to confirm pickup schedules and shipment instructions
Track freight expenses and contribute to cost-control efforts
Manage special shipping requirements, such as appointment scheduling and compliance with routing instructions
Support carrier performance evaluations and foster strong working relationships
Requirements:
Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related role
Strong understanding of transportation planning and scheduling processes
Excellent communication skills for interacting with carriers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation
Familiarity with freight cost analysis and cost-control strategies
Knowledge of full truckload and less-than-truckload shipping methods
Problem-solving skills to address transportation delays and ensure timely deliveries
