We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing oil logistics operations, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Job Responsibility:
Verify tickets, reconcile oil barrel counts, and accurately log operational details such as load times and tank levels
Assign trucks to prioritize timely oil pickups based on factors like tank capacity and inventory levels
Maintain communication with truck drivers, field staff, and internal teams to address delays or challenges in real time
Identify and resolve discrepancies in data reports, ensuring consistent and accurate information
Collaborate with sales teams, trucking companies, and field operations to meet customer needs and prevent issues such as tank overflows
Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations while maintaining thorough records for audits and monthly reporting
Spot inefficiencies in logistics processes and propose actionable solutions to optimize operations and reduce expenses
Utilize systems like Excel and logistics software to perform data entry and generate comprehensive reports
Support cross-functional teams to enhance workflow and ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor logistical activities to guarantee smooth operations and address any emerging concerns proactively
Requirements:
Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the oil and trucking industries
Exceptional attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and resolving data discrepancies
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, internal teams, and field personnel
Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and CRM platforms
Ability to identify and solve logistical challenges promptly and efficiently
Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards within the logistics sector
Flexibility to work long shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Nice to have:
