The Logistics Coordinator role is integral to the delivery of Heathrow Development Programme. This role is responsible for supporting and auditing all the staging (laydown) areas within Terminal Buildings across the Heathrow campus used by the £4 billion capital construction programme. Excellent interaction and collaboration skills are paramount to ensure stakeholders are set to deliver their project objectives, with safely managed logistical space needed.
Job Responsibility:
Carrying out audits for site start up, duration and close down processes for the safe space management and logistics processes
Responsible for implementation of Logistics Strategy within terminals
Responsible for ownership, coordination and governance of the Terminal Space Register
Assess and advise on logistic plans produced by Principal Contractors
Act as key linkage between Delivery Partners, Airport Operational Departments, HAL PMs and Logistics Delivery whilst ensuring adherence to governance at all levels
Requirements:
Working on capital construction projects, either interfacing with or managing logistics
Confident to engage in tough conversations in order to adjust working practices
Experience of integration and partnership working within the construction logistics and aviation sector, developing, nurturing, and managing stakeholder relationships to develop new and innovative opportunities
Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise tasks in a timely manner
Excellent problem-solving skills
Competent in using Microsoft Office
particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Comfortable with learning and working using inhouse technology and systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Driving Licence cat B
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Heathrow Terminal Operations
Project Management experience – a qualification in PRINCE2 or APM is desirable
IOSH safety certification
