We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various logistics operations, including calibration tasks, temperature surveys, and system accuracy checks, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position requires a high level of precision, strong communication skills, and adaptability to local travel demands.
Job Responsibility:
Perform on-site calibration and certification of laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability
Conduct temperature uniformity surveys and prepare thermocouples for testing purposes
Verify system accuracy and produce detailed certification reports in compliance with quality standards
Collaborate with office staff to address customer needs and deliver excellent service
Ensure all tasks are completed promptly while adhering to safety and quality protocols
Travel locally within a 200-mile radius to fulfill service requirements and maintain flexibility with work hours
Utilize mechanical skills and hands-on aptitude to operate and maintain test equipment
Accurately read and interpret laboratory devices such as thermometers and other measuring instruments
Maintain organized documentation for calibration results and other logistics-related activities
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including driving record checks and drug screenings
Requirements:
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and current liability auto insurance
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation purposes
High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with laboratory equipment and test devices
Willingness to travel locally up to 90% of the time and adapt to flexible schedules
Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs
Dependable, punctual, and capable of consistent early shift start times
