Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our client, a leader in the food industry based in Burlington. In this role, you will be the 'glue' connecting logistics, sales, production, and outside carriers to ensure outbound orders move seamlessly across borders and onto customer shelves. Hours: Monday – Friday, choice of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Pay Frequency: Biweekly.
Job Responsibility:
Carrier Management: Scheduling loading times, assigning loads to carriers, and sourcing new transportation partners as needed
Tracking & Troubleshooting: Monitoring loads in transit, foreseeing delays (weather, traffic, etc.), and proactively communicating updates to the team
Compliance & Customs: Preparing proforma invoices and ensuring all documentation meets USA, USDA, FDA, and CFIA regulations
Documentation: Managing Bills of Lading (BOLs), data entry for freight charges, and tracking CHEP pallet movements
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as a liaison between the warehouse, sales, and QC departments to ensure 100% shipment accuracy
Requirements:
1–2 years in a similar logistics or 3PL role
Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to master in-house software
Experience with export customs, freight brokers, and customs brokers is highly preferred
Exceptional time management and a 'sense of urgency' for solving issues
